"B. in Hiroshima. Grad. 1957 Tama College of Fine Arts. Worked for Sears Roebuck and Company in Tokyo 1957-1961. Toured Mexico and U.S. 1963-1964. Created some sculpture for Olympic village in 1964 and landscape garden using stone sculpture for Bunkyo Women's University in Hiroshima in 1965. Solo exhibitions of moku-hanga almost yearly at Yoseido Gallery from 1962. Prints often depict strong interlocking organic or geometric shapes." --'Guide to Modern Japanese Prints: 1900-1975' by H.
